‘How Great Thou Art’
When was the last time you considered the sheer majesty of God? Daily, we observe His wondrous works in nature and in the universe. We typically accredit God with being ‘great’. While that is generally an accurate description of God, the same is the ultimate understatement regarding God. For instance, do you frequently consider how small God is? If so, you’re well ahead of many people. If not, it’s about time to recognize that God is every bit as small as He is big. He fills the entire spectrum of our existence.

In the wake of the recent tsunami that devastated Japan, I thought it appropriate to post a Bible scripture of peace, protection, safety, and rest for you. Thank God for His covering! Please pray for the families of those that were lost and affected by the tsunami. Be encouraged by Psalm 91:

When was the last time you acknowledged the other members of your team? Have you had any recent successes and celebrated with everyone that was involved, and in your ‘army’? Whether you are a Type A or a Type B personality, a business owner or an employee, a leader or a follower, you are more than likely a part of a team.

Each member of the team is equally important, no matter the role and responsibilities. Type A personalities are balanced by Type B personalities, and vice versa. Leaders need followers to support them; followers need leaders to direct them to success. Business owners need employees to operate the business, while employees need the owners to manage the operation and ‘blaze the trail’.

Have you ever taken a photograph and considered the vast differences between a photo and a video? Photographs capture a specific, stagnant moment in time. In other words, there is no movement in a picture. Here is a definition of photo from freedictionary.com:


Photo – a representation of a person or scene in the form of a print or transparent slide; recorded by a camera on light-sensitive material
Whatever specific time or place one takes the picture in is the same specific time or place that will show up in the photo.

Conversely, videos provide movement. Videos can effectively be seen as a range of pictures over a range of time, which, when processed produces motion [Note: I am not a photographer, and this is my own general definition of the word ‘video’]. Here is a precise definition of video from Wikipedia:

Video is the technology of electronically capturingrecording, processing, storing, transmitting, and reconstructing a sequence of still images representing scenes in motion.  (more…)

If you don’t already know, this clip is the Intro from a classic American show called, “Greatest American Hero.” And what’s the point of me posting this video, you ask? It’s to illustrate that faith requires you to fly, or to at least try. You have to step out of your comfort zone (the nest) and take the chance of trusting in God. That is the only way to ever really achieve all that He wants you to achieve in life, and to fulfill your true calling.
